HVAC Service Areas — Shelby County & the Talladega Corridor

BLUF: Birmingham Heating & Air Conditioning serves the south-metro Birmingham corridor — Chelsea, Calera, Columbiana, and Montevallo in Shelby County, plus Sylacauga in Talladega County. Five towns, one tightly-held service area, Alabama-licensed technicians dispatched from inside the corridor. Call (205) 649-4480.

HVAC service area describes the geographic footprint inside which an HVAC contractor dispatches its own technicians, stocks local parts, and guarantees scheduled response. Our footprint is deliberately narrow: the south-metro Birmingham corridor, specifically Shelby County and the Talladega corridor reaching Sylacauga. That discipline lets us know every neighborhood's housing stock, every equipment generation common to it, and every microclimate — from the Highway 280 growth corridor in Chelsea to the pre-1960 mill-era neighborhoods of Sylacauga.

About Sylacauga & the Talladega Corridor

Sylacauga sits about 40 miles southeast of Birmingham in Talladega County, outside Shelby but well inside our operating radius. More than half of Sylacauga homes were built before 1980, and a meaningful share predate 1960 — which matters for HVAC. Older construction with retrofit ductwork, aging 1970s and 1980s gas furnaces, Talladega County winters that run a few degrees colder than central Shelby: Sylacauga is the furnace-repair capital of our territory, and we run Sylacauga work like every other city we serve — our own technicians, stocked trucks, no subcontracted fill-in crews.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas does Birmingham Heating & Air Conditioning serve?

Chelsea, Calera, Columbiana, and Montevallo in Shelby County, plus Sylacauga in Talladega County — the south-metro Birmingham corridor.

Do you serve the rest of metro Birmingham?

No. We deliberately keep our footprint tight to Shelby County and the Talladega corridor so we can know the housing stock and equipment generations deeply. If you are outside our area, we are happy to recommend a trusted contractor closer to you.

Do you serve Talladega County or only Shelby County?

Both. Our Shelby County footprint covers Chelsea, Calera, Columbiana, and Montevallo. Our Talladega County footprint reaches Sylacauga — the oldest housing stock in our service area and the furnace-repair capital of our territory.

How do I schedule a service call?

Call (205) 649-4480 to discuss your issue and schedule a technician. Emergency calls are handled 24/7 across the entire service area; routine scheduling depends on current technician workload, so we handle scheduling questions on the phone rather than posting a blanket response time.
